Twin Fires In Noida: High-Rise Apartment And PG Building Blaze Trigger Safety Concerns

Delhi: Two separate fire incidents in Noida on Friday triggered panic among residents and renewed concerns about fire safety in residential buildings. The first blaze broke out in an apartment on the 12th floor of a high rise tower at IVY County Society in Sector 74. Thick smoke billowed from the building, prompting an immediate response from firefighters and emergency teams.

Residents gathered outside as fire personnel worked to bring the situation under control. Fortunately, no major casualties were reported, though the incident caused considerable alarm among those living in the society. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities have begun an investigation.

In another incident on the same day, a fire was reported at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Noida. Emergency services responded quickly and managed to contain the blaze before it could spread further. Details regarding the cause and extent of damage are still being assessed.

The back to back incidents have once again highlighted the importance of fire preparedness in high rise residential complexes and shared accommodations. Residents and safety experts have stressed the need for regular inspections, functional firefighting systems, and clear evacuation procedures to minimise risks during emergencies.

While swift action by fire officials helped prevent a larger tragedy, the twin fires serve as a reminder that safety measures must remain a priority as Noida’s skyline continues to grow.
