Tamil Nadu Election Result : CM Stalin Loses Kolathur, Auto Driver Defeats AIADMK Strongman

Chennai : In an evolving historic shift in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, actor-turned-politician Vijay’s TVK is looking poised to win the Assembly elections on its own by achieving simple majority of 118 seats as the trends suggested. While party chief Vijay was leading in both Perambur and Tiruchirapalli, the TVK was closing in on the half-way mark with the AIADMK and DMK struggling to even reach a 70-seat mark. In another likely setback for Chief Minister MK Stalin, the DMK president was trailing by quite a margin in Kolathur, the lone seat he is contesting.

However, Udayanidhi Stalin was leading in Chepauk. Meanwhile, Congress expressed willingness to lend support to the TVK just in case it falls short of the majority mark. Earlier, the counting of votes started at 8 am on Monday, with many rounds of counting still to go. Stay tuned to indiatoday.in for the latest updates.
