Sadhvi Prem Baisa Death: Injection, Cryptic Social Media Post and Viral Video Deepen Mystery in Rajasthan

The sudden death of prominent religious storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa in Rajasthan on Wednesday has sparked widespread concern, with police sending her body to MDM Hospital for post-mortem examination by a medical board. Political leader Hanuman Beniwal has called for a CBI investigation into the case.

Family members of Sadhvi Prem Baisa stated that she had been unwell for two days prior to her death. On Wednesday, a person summoned to the ashram reportedly administered an injection to her, following which her health deteriorated rapidly. Her father immediately took her to Preksha Hospital on Pal Road, where medical staff pronounced her dead on arrival. The news shocked her followers, large numbers of whom assembled at the ashram in mourning.

Dr Praveen Jain, director of the hospital, confirmed she was “brought dead.” He stated that Shastri Nagar police station was notified according to protocol and the family was instructed to transfer the body to MDM Hospital. Instead, the family transported the body to her ashram in Boranada.

Upon being informed, Sub-Inspector Hemraj from Boranada police station arrived at the ashram and sealed Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s room. The body was later shifted to MDM Hospital for post-mortem late at night.

The case acquired a mysterious dimension when a post resembling a suicide note surfaced on her social media account at approximately 9.30 pm, nearly four hours following her death. The post mentioned “Agni Pariksha,” “Goodbye,” and “Justice.”

“I have lived every single moment for the propagation of Sanatan Dharma… Throughout my life, I received the blessings of Adi Jagadguru Shankaracharya, the world’s yoga gurus, and revered saints and sages. I wrote letters to Adi Guru Shankaracharya and many great saints and sages of the country, requesting a trial by fire, but what did nature have in store?” the caption read.

“I am bidding farewell to this world forever, but I have complete faith in God and the revered saints and sages. If not in my lifetime, then after my death, I will surely receive justice,” it added. Authorities are now examining who had access to her account and whether the post was pre-scheduled or uploaded by another individual.

Multiple questions have arisen concerning the family’s conduct. Her father initially showed reluctance to lodge a police complaint or approve a post-mortem. He also declined the hospital’s ambulance service, choosing instead to carry the body back to the ashram in his private vehicle. No formal complaint has been registered against the individual who gave the injection.

Police have emphasized that a post-mortem by a medical board is necessary to preserve the chain of custody and establish the precise cause of death, whether it stemmed from a reaction to the injection or other factors. Investigators are also examining a potential connection to a six-month-old controversy in which the Sadhvi had alleged blackmail and defamation by former staff members.

Sources revealed that Sadhvi had been experiencing stress since July last year after a controversial video showing her embracing her guru/father surfaced, triggering harassment allegations and a registered case.

At the time, she had publicly expressed her readiness to undergo any “Agni Pariksha” (trial by fire) to establish her innocence.
