Sack Dharmendra Pradhan Now, PM Modi Take Accountability For NEET UG Paper Leak : Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday intensified his attack on the Modi government over the NEET-UG paper leak case and demanded the immediate removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Gandhi said that 22 lakh NEET students had been betrayed and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of remaining silent on the issue.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) – meant for aspirants seeking admissions in medical colleges – held on May 3 was cancelled following irregularities in the examination process, triggering huge protests from several quarters across the country. Speaking on the alleged paper leak, Rahul Gandhi said 22 lakh students had worked day and night for two years to prepare for the NEET examination, but their hard work had gone to waste.

Rahul Gandhi also accused Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan of refusing to take responsibility for the controversy. “Dharmendra Pradhan ji, India’s Education Minister, says I have nothing to do with this. A committee had made a recommendation, but they threw it in the dustbin. They said opposition people are sitting in the committee, it doesn’t mean anything, there is no need,” he said.

“Truth be told, you have damaged Hindustan’s core. This is a nexus — RSS, BJP, and their colleagues at our universities: Vice Chancellors and Professors. There exists this nexus of making money between them, and they have destroyed Hindustan’s education system,” Rahul Gandhi said. Linking the issue to repeated examination paper leaks, Rahul Gandhi claimed that paper leaks had happened 80 times in the country and had ruined the future of two crore youths.
