Jaipur : The Rajasthan High Court in Jaipur was placed on high alert on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat via email, causing authorities to launch a full security operation, reported ANI. Court officials said the message, which arrived early in the day, warned of an explosive device on the complex, prompting immediate precautionary measures before any normal activity could resume.
In response to the threat, all entry gates to the High Court were shut as police and specialised teams conducted a detailed search of the buildings and surrounding grounds. Officers, including bomb disposal units and sniffer dog squads, combed the premises to ensure there was no danger to staff, lawyers and visitors. After the exhaustive inspection, authorities confirmed that no suspicious items or explosives were located and the alert was deemed unfounded.
The High Court has recently been targeted with similar emailed threats alongside other institutions in the region, leading officials to treat each instance seriously and follow strict security protocols. Law enforcement is investigating the origin of the message as part of ongoing efforts to track those responsible for sending hoax bomb warnings to judicial and educational establishments.
