Ayodhya: The investigation into the alleged Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case gathered pace after police conducted searches at locations linked to accused Avinash Shukla as part of a wider crackdown on those arrested in the case. The raids are aimed at collecting evidence and tracing the alleged diversion of donation funds recovered during the ongoing probe.

Police teams, accompanied by local magistrates, carried out searches at the residences and other premises of all eight accused, including Avinash Shukla. Officials examined documents, questioned family members, and searched for financial records and other evidence that could help establish the alleged flow of misappropriated donation money.

According to investigators, Avinash Shukla is among the individuals accused of being involved in handling donations received at the Ram Mandir. Authorities have alleged that cash and valuables collected from devotees were siphoned off during the counting process. An FIR has been registered under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Corruption Act following the findings of a Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The investigation has also focused on CCTV footage and other evidence. Police recently questioned Avinash Shukla inside the district jail after obtaining court permission as they attempt to reconstruct the alleged sequence of events and identify the role of each accused.

Investigators have stated that the raids form part of a broader effort to recover evidence, verify financial transactions, and determine whether additional individuals were involved in the alleged embezzlement. Officials have indicated that further questioning and forensic examination of seized material may follow as the probe continues.

The case has drawn widespread public attention due to the significance of the Ram Mandir and the trust reposed by millions of devotees. Authorities have maintained that the investigation is ongoing and that the allegations against the accused will be tested through the legal process before the courts.
