Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Raj will join the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) protest in Bengaluru today, extending his support to a youth led movement that has been drawing attention across the country.
The protest at Freedom Park is part of CJP’s campaign highlighting concerns over exam paper leaks, recruitement delays and unemployment. The movement has also been demanding accountability from policymakers on issues affecting student and job seekers.
Raj, who has been vocal about social and political issues, has publicly backed the campaign in recent weeks. His participation is expected to add momentum to the Bengaluru gathering and attract more supporters to the cause.
What began as a social media driven campaign has quickly grown into a wider movement, with protests being held in multiple cities. Supporters say the initiative reflects growing frustration among young Indians over education and employment related challenges.
Organisers expect students, activists and supporters from across Karnataka to attend today’s protest, which they say will focus on peaceful democratic participation and raising youth concerns.
With Prakash Raj joining the event, the Bengaluru protest is likely to become one of the movement’s most closely watched gathering so far.
