PM Modi’s 131st Mann Ki Baat: AI Innovation, Tribute To Jayalalithaa And Message To Students

New Delhi : In the 131st edition of his weekly radio broadcast Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined key developments and themes shaping India’s national discourse, touching on technology, culture, heritage and youth empowerment.  

Modi highlighted the significant role of artificial intelligence (AI) in public life and governance, underlining the outcomes of the recently concluded AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi. He described the summit as a platform where India’s technological capabilities were showcased to global leaders and top executives, with examples of AI being used in animal healthcare and agriculture to support farmers and livestock management. Modi also noted how AI applications are helping preserve India’s ancient texts and traditional wisdom for future generations. 

The prime minister paid homage to the late Jayalalithaa, former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, acknowledging her enduring legacy in public service and welfare. Modi pointed out her influence on social empowerment and governance, emphasizing how her memory still resonates with people in her home state. 

Modi urged citizens, particularly students, to embrace discipline, diligence and lifelong learning as fundamental to achieving their goals. He referenced recent national events like Pariksha Pe Charcha and encouraged young learners to stay focused on their education while balancing exam pressures.

Other topics covered in the address included the importance of digital safety, urging awareness about online fraud and safe financial practices, and a call to support local products to strengthen India’s self-reliance. Modi also spoke about organ donation, faith, and India’s cultural heritage, weaving these themes into his broader call for collective progress and national pride.
