The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday carried out searches at three locations in Anantnag district in connection with a terror-related case, officials said.
The searches were carried out at Kreeri Shahabad Dooru, SICOP Bijbehara, and Sadoora as part of an ongoing investigation into case FIR No. RC/2026/02, registered under Section 23 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act, and Section 4 of the Explosives Act.

Mobile phone seized during search at Kreeri Shahabad Dooru
According to official sources, an NIA team, accompanied by local police personnel, searched the residence of Suhail Gani Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat, at Kreeri Shahabad Dooru. During the search, a Redmi 9A mobile phone was seized for investigation.
Second search targets residence linked to alleged drug peddling
Another search was conducted at SICOP Bijbehara, at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Hajam, son of Ghulam Rasool Hajam, who is alleged to be involved in drug peddling, officials said.
Third search at residence of person detained under PSA
Later, continuing the operation, the NIA team also reached Sadoora village, where it searched the residence of a person currently under detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA), sources said.
The searches are part of the agency’s ongoing investigation into the case. Further details regarding any recoveries and the nature of the alleged links are awaited.
