Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing Meets PM Narendra Modi During India Visit

New Delhi: Myanmar’s President U Min Aung Hlaing arrives in India to meet Prime Minister Narenda Modi on Monday. 

At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the leaders met at the Hyderabad House in Delhi as President U Min Aung Hlaing is visiting India from May 30 to June 2. 

He is accompanied by a high-level delegation of Cabinet ministers, senior officials and prominent business leaders marking his first visit to India as President. Earlier, Ajit Doval , National Security Advisor called on Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing on Sunday. Official spokesperson for the MInistry of External Affairs , Randhir Jiaswal, said in a post on X , ” NSA Ajit Doval called on President U Min Aung Hlaing of Myanmar today.” 

Min Aung Hlaing arrived in New Delhi after completing engagements in Bodh Gaya. Soon after the arrival, the President paid a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, a key Buddhist pilgrimage site and UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Prior to a weekly press briefing on Friday, Jiaswal stated the wide ranging scope of the upcoming bilateral discussions.
