Accused Siya Taken To Lohagad Fort To Recreate Ketan’s Murder Scene

In a significant development in the investigation into the death of a young Pune realtor, authorities escorted his fiancée to Lohagad Fort on Sunday to meticulously reconstruct the sequence of events surrounding the incident that claimed his life on June 18.

Police officials stated that the on-site exercise aimed to verify the accounts provided by the accused and to map out the precise chain of actions leading up to the tragedy. The reconstruction included tracing the route taken by those involved, their positions at various points, and the specific manner in which the events allegedly unfolded at the popular tourist site.

During the proceedings, the primary accused woman offered detailed inputs regarding the path followed, the locations of the individuals present, and how the incident reportedly occurred. To enhance the accuracy of the simulation, investigators prepared a dummy matching the weight of the victim, allowing them to better replicate the physical circumstances of the fall from the fort.

The victim, 25-year-old Ketan Vishal Agarwal, served as a director in his family’s prominent business, Success Group, known for developing large-scale warehouses across Maharashtra. Earlier this year, in February, he became engaged to 20-year-old Siya Goyal, with the match facilitated through his maternal uncle. The couple had planned a November wedding, with arrangements already made at venues in Udaipur. Goyal hailed from a well-established business family in Pune.

However, it later emerged that she was romantically involved with 22-year-old Chetan Chaudhary. Following the incident, both were arrested and charged with murder and criminal conspiracy under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

According to investigators, the woman reportedly confessed that she had no intention of proceeding with the marriage and had conspired with her partner out of concern that canceling the engagement would tarnish her family’s reputation. The probe continues to examine the planning of the alleged crime, the movements of the accused before and after the event, their digital communications, and the underlying motive.

Officials emphasized that the fort visit was crucial for corroborating statements and clarifying the exact dynamics of the case. Multiple pieces of evidence gathered so far are being cross-verified as part of the ongoing inquiry. This reconstruction represents a key step in piecing together the circumstances of Agarwal’s death, which has drawn considerable public attention due to the personal relationships involved.
