Fifteen Dead After Passenger Bus Plunges Down Hillside in Udhampur

At least 15 people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a passenger bus veered off a hilly road and rolled down a slope in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Monday, according to officials.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. as the bus was navigating a blind curve near Kagort village in the Ram Nagar area, officials told PTI. The vehicle was travelling on the challenging hilly terrain when it met with the accident.

Rescue teams reached the site promptly, and the injured were shifted to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Details regarding the exact number of injured or the identities of the victims were not immediately available.
