Jaipur: On Monday, Rajasthan received a series of bomb threats including, The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Rajasthan High Court and the local Sessions Court prompting it to be on high alert.
The threats were received via mail triggering immediate evacuations and search operations on a massive scale across Jaipur’s most highly-sensitive zones. After a while, similar threats were sent to State Assemblies.
Evacuation And Search Operations
As per the standard procedures for terror threats, the Jaipur Police rushed to the threat locations along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squads. Hundreds of staff members, officials and advocates including the Assembly Speaker were shifted to a safe location as designated by the team.

The security lapse has raised eyebrows in the political row in the state creating a chaotic situation. Former Chief Minister Ashok Ghelot and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully were reportedly barred from entering the premises while the search was underway.
Talking to the press, both leaders slammed the current BJP-led government for the deteriorating law and order situation.
Hoax Threat
It is notably the fourth time in recent months that the Rajasthan High Court has received a bomb threat. Investigators are now watching out for digital footprints.
While all the previous instances were determined to be hoaxes, the frequency of these incidents have put immense pressure on the Jaipur Cyber Cell. Investigation is underway,preliminary findings have found that the emails have been routed via masked IP addresses to evade detection.
