Bengaluru : Commuters on Palace Road in Bengaluru had an unusual encounter on Tuesday evening when a cobra brought traffic to a brief halt after settling in the middle of the road. The snake was spotted with its hood fully spread, startling motorists and onlookers. It remained on the road for nearly 30 to 40 minutes, slowing traffic as vehicles cautiously waited for the situation to be resolved.
The caption added a humorous spin, saying the snake seemed to have chosen the middle of the road for a “30-minute evening meditation session”, with its hood open and “zero concern for traffic rules”. The cobra’s appearance turned an ordinary commute into a rare wildlife moment, with vehicles slowing down as the reptile held its ground.

A Cobra on Palace Road.
Seems like the snake decided the middle of the road was the perfect spot for a 30-minute evening meditation session, complete with hood fully open and zero concern for traffic rules.

The post further quipped, “Police finally arrived and escorted the unexpected roadblock to safety. Only in Bengaluru can a cobra create a traffic jam without owning a BMW.” Police personnel later reached the spot and safely rescued the snake, ensuring that neither commuters nor the reptile were harmed. Traffic movement resumed soon after the cobra was removed from the road. For Bengaluru commuters, it was a traffic jam unlike any other — no honking, no road rage, just a cobra calmly taking over Palace Road for a while.
