Govt Ensures Uninterrupted LPG Gas Cylinder And Fuel Supply Across India, Reaches 98%

New Delhi: According to the Ministry Of Petroleum, the Government has taken multiple steps to maintain uninterrupted availability of petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has emphasised that ensuring consistent supply, particularly for domestic consumers, remains a key priority.

Officials stated that LPG distribution to households has been given precedence, with no reports of supply shortages or “dry-outs” at any distributorship so far. This assurance comes amid concerns over fuel availability, with authorities reiterating that supply chains are functioning smoothly nationwide.

The Ministry further highlighted a significant rise in the use of digital services for LPG access. Online booking of cylinders has reached nearly 99 percent across the country, reflecting increased adoption of digital platforms by consumers. In addition, deliveries authenticated through One-Time Password (OTP) systems have also seen a substantial increase, exceeding 94 percent. These measures aim to enhance transparency and efficiency in the delivery process.

The government has continued to monitor the situation closely while implementing proactive measures to prevent any disruption in supply. Authorities have stressed that systems are in place to ensure that petroleum products, including LPG, remain readily available to consumers across regions.

The update comes as part of broader efforts by the government to maintain stability in fuel supply and distribution. Officials have reassured the public that there is no need for concern, as adequate stocks are being maintained and logistical operations are functioning effectively.

Overall, the government’s stance underscores its focus on ensuring uninterrupted access to essential energy resources, particularly for domestic users. With streamlined processes and increased digital adoption, authorities aim to sustain efficient distribution and prevent any potential shortages in the country.
