Ghaziabad Psychiatrist Commits Suicide, Was Battling Depression After Divorce

According to authorities on Monday, a 40-year-old psychiatrist who was under stress after her divorce allegedly jumped from the fifth story of an apartment in Rajnagar Extension. Her family claims that she separated from her husband approximately eighteen months ago.

Since then, she was under mental stress and depression. According to the family sources, she allegedly leaped from her fifth-floor apartment on Sunday night.According to the authorities, initial investigations point to a suicide as the cause of the tragedy.

Dr. Hemika Agarwal has been identified as the dead. She was the only resident in Rajnagar Extension’s Officer City-2 society.She was promptly taken by the society’s residents to Yashoda Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her dead.

According to the deceased’s father, Dr. R Chandra, a psychiatrist who lives in a different Rajnagar Extension neighborhood, his daughter was undergoing treatment for her ongoing depression after her divorce.

The body has been submitted for a post-mortem, according to ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmed. Family members are being interrogated.
