Firing Outside Diljit Dosanjh Manager’s Residence Sparks Political Row In Punjab

Chandigarh: Outside the residence of actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh’ manager in Punjab, firing took place triggering political reactions and fresh allegations involving gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s network.

In response to the incident, Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema condemned the attack and alleged that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the firing.

Cheema told reporters, “Lawrence Bishnoi gang has attacked the residence of Diljit Dosanjh’s manager. I condemn this.” He even claimed that the BJP government in Gujarat was protecting the gangster network.

Punjab Minister Claims Diljit Under Pressure to Join BJP

It’s not the first time that the minister has claimed this. Even before this attack, the minister has alleged that Diljit Dosanjh had been pressured to join the Bharatiya Janata Party and linked the alleged refusal to the attack on the manager’s residence.

Cheema alleged,” they threaten everyone into joining the party. They had even asked Diljit Dosanjh to join the party and when he refused, there was an attack on the residence of his manager.” So far, police authorities have not come out with an official statement confirming the details of the firing incident or identifying those responsible. It is also very unclear whether anyone has been attacked or not.

Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in jail, had been linked to various threats and extortion targeting famous celebrities and public figures.
