In a tragic incident that has raised serious concerns, a 30-year-old judicial officer in Delhi was found dead at his residence in the Safdarjung area, with early indications pointing to suicide, according to a report.
Hours before his death, the judge had spoken to his father, describing his life as “troubled” and “difficult to live,” highlighting the emotional strain he had been experiencing. His family later alleged that he had been under significant distress in the days leading up to the incident and had complained of harassment, claims that are now part of the ongoing inquiry.
Police officials said they were alerted after receiving a PCR call from the judge’s brother-in-law. A team was immediately dispatched to the residence, where inquest proceedings were initiated. The body was subsequently sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities have stated that no foul play has been established so far, though all possible angles are being examined as part of the investigation.
Family members described scenes of deep grief following the news. A relative told PTI that the judge’s father was inconsolable after learning about his son’s death in the early hours of the morning. The family had rushed to the location, and the body was taken to Safdarjung Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
