Mysuru (Karnataka): Delhi Police have arrested a man for allegedly sending multiple fake bomb threat emails that sparked panic in government offices, schools, and courts across the capital.
The accused, identified as Srinivas, was apprehended from a house in Brindavan Layout, Second Phase, Sixth Cross in Mysuru, police sources said on Sunday.
Investigators found that Srinivas had been dispatching several threatening messages in quick succession, each warning of impending explosions and triggering widespread alarm and security disruptions.
The crackdown followed growing concern over repeated hoax bomb threats reported in the past month. Acting on technical intelligence and surveillance leads, Delhi Police traced the origin of the emails to Mysuru.
A specialised team from the Delhi Police conducted a surprise raid at the location and detained the suspect with support from personnel at the VV Puram police station in Mysuru.
Sources indicated that the accused had been concealing himself in the city while persistently sending the threatening emails.
