Central Railway Unveils Summer Special Services To Tackle Vacation Rush Across Key Routes

New Delhi: In a proactive move to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming holiday season, Central Railway has announced the introduction of several summer special trains. As reported by the Free Press Journal, these additional services are designed to provide relief to commuters traveling from Mumbai to various popular locations across the country, including the coastal state of Goa and the spiritual hub of Varanasi.

According to the official notification highlighted by the Free Press Journal, these special trains will operate on specific schedules to accommodate the high volume of vacationers. The initiative aims to reduce the pressure on existing regular services, which often see a massive waiting list during the peak summer months of April, May, and June.

Key routes identified for these special operations include Mumbai to Madgaon (Goa), Varanasi, Danapur, and Samastipur. The railway authorities have meticulously planned these services to ensure that various regions in Northern and Western India remain well-connected. Per the Free Press Journal report, the scheduling includes both weekly and bi-weekly frequencies, providing travelers with multiple options for their journey.

Central Railway officials have urged passengers to check the official website and reservation counters for detailed timings, halts, and composition of these special rakes. Bookings for these summer specials are expected to open in phases, allowing travelers to plan their trips well in advance. This logistical expansion by the railways is a recurring yet vital measure to ensure public convenience and safe travel during India’s busiest domestic tourism period.
