
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the results for the Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate examinations held in May 2026. Candidates who appeared for the professional exams conducted between May 5 and May 15, 2026, can now access their official scorecards via the institute’s dedicated portal. Along with individual marks, the regulatory body has made public its highly anticipated All India Rank (AIR) merit list.
Top Performers Secure National Ranks
As reported by The Free Press Journal, Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Dombivli secured the coveted All India Rank 1 (AIR 1) in the examination cycle. Registering under roll number 429752, Vichare achieved an outstanding score of 531 out of 600 marks, translating to an aggregate percentage of 88.50%.
The second and third national positions were secured by candidates from southern and western India:
- All India Rank 2: Abhinav Satheesh from Kochi (Roll No. 347607) followed closely, scoring 530 out of 600 marks to secure an aggregate of 88.33%.
- All India Rank 3: Teerth Jain from Mumbai (Roll No. 398213) claimed the third spot with a final score of 519 out of 600 marks, achieving an aggregate of 86.50%.
Procedure to Check Scorecards and Verify Marks
A standard CA Intermediate scorecard includes the student’s identity details, photograph, roll number, specified examination session, group-wise and subject-wise score tallies, total marks earned, and their final passing status. To check their individual outcomes on the official website (caresults.icai.org), candidates need to complete the following steps:
- Log on to the official website.
- Select the designated active links for the May 2026 CA Intermediate Results.
- Provide their unique ICAI roll number and registration number.
- Input the security CAPTCHA code shown on screen.
- Click “Submit” to view and download the scorecard.
For students wishing to request a review of their evaluated answer scripts, the ICAI provides a verification facility through its eServices platform. The process requires applicants to log in with their existing credentials, select the specific papers they wish to verify, upload a scanned, handwritten verification request, and submit the necessary processing fee. ICAI continues to advise students to closely monitor its digital portals for further updates regarding subsequent stages of their professional journey.
