Banks to Remain Shut for Next 4 Days ? Check Details

In the purview of the All India Bank Strike carried out by the Union Forum of Bank Unions (UBFU) demanding for 5 days working, your plans to visit the bank might be delayed. It’s the group of 9 unions of bank employees and officers who have put forward the demand of implementing a 5 days working week for banks.
So now the question arises till when the banks are closed ? The closure of banks will be nationwide for next 4 days i.e 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th of January, 2026. While the physical branches will remain closed, customers will be able to access only via online transactions like Net Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI along with the ATM facility. The clearing of cheques and over the counter services will be at halt as it requires your visit to a nearby branch.

Days on which Bank will remain Closed :
24 January, 2026- On account of second and fourth saturday the banks all over India remain shut.
25 January, 2026- Due to Sunday the bank will be inoperative.
26 January, 2026- As we all know India will mark its 77th Republic Day so no banks will remain open.
27 January, 2026- If the All India Bank Strike continues, the banks will continue to remain shut as their demand of 5 days working in a week emphasises their need for family time, enhances work efficiency and reduces work pressure.
Subsequently, account holders are advised to complete their task beforehand so as to avoid any delays or rely on online options for banking till the bank gets active.
