In a joint operation, the Delhi Police Q Branch, working alongside the Tamil Nadu Police, apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals in Tirupur district on Saturday. The arrests stemmed from intelligence indicating that the individuals had been sharing online content supportive of Pakistan-based terrorist organizations while illegally residing in India without proper documentation.
Acting on credible tips about inflammatory social media posts and possible links to cross-border extremist networks, a team from the Delhi Police Q Branch traveled to Tirupur. With support from local Tirupur district police, officers carried out coordinated raids at three separate locations. The operation proceeded smoothly, resulting in the detention of the suspects without resistance.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mijanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat, Umar, Mohammad Litan, Mohammad Shahid, and Mohammad Ujjal. Authorities recovered eight mobile phones and 16 SIM cards during the searches of the premises.
Initial inquiries suggest that the seized devices were used to disseminate material endorsing banned terror groups and to communicate with suspected handlers operating from abroad. The individuals are also accused of overstaying or entering India without valid visas or permits.

The suspects were taken into custody for further investigation, with potential charges related to promoting terrorism through social media and violations of immigration laws. The case highlights ongoing concerns over online radicalization and illegal immigration networks potentially exploited for security threats.
