On September 5, Teachers’ Day, in New Delhi, Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, presented National Awards to educators nationwide.
Speaking at the event, the President stated that the best way to achieve the equality of opportunity contained in our Constitution is via education.
According to her, teachers’ efforts have made it feasible for the primary school dropout rate to be so low. She thanked all of the educators for this victory on a national level.
According to the President, schooling is the cornerstone of the educational system. Although information and skills can be learned at any time, it is much more beneficial to teach excellent behavior to children.
Our instructors can prepare future generations of exceptional students and obedient citizens by emphasizing children’s intellectual, physical, and moral development in the early grades, she stated.
The President emphasized that many students come from low-income families, that some are first-generation students, that some go from small village schools to large city schools, that some are shy by nature, that some have exceptional talent but lack confidence, and that some are children with special needs.
Teachers have a unique duty to boost the self-esteem and confidence of all children who, for whatever reason, feel inadequate.
The President stated that entrepreneurship, skill development, and academic excellence are crucial to the growth of the nation. One of our national priorities is making India the world’s skill capital and a knowledge superpower.
The President stated that we are working toward the objective of creating a Viksit Bharat, which can only be accomplished with a top-notch educational system. The educational system is revitalized by our teachers. We must work to guaranty that every student in our nation has access to high-quality education. She emphasized that via their love and commitment, our teachers should impart information, inspiration, morality, and sensitivity to every pupil.
