The annual pilgrimage in Jammu and Kashmir began ceremoniously with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha performing the “Pratham Puja” at the sacred cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji. Officially, the Yatra will start on July 3 and end on August 28.
Following the special prayers, Mr. Sinha stated that the administration, Shri Amarnth Ji Shrine board, army, police, security forces, local community, service providers, and volunteers were all working together in perfect harmony to make sure the Yatris had a hassle-free, safe, and unforgettable pilgrimage.
Sinha continued by saying that important facilities had been set up to ensure the pilgrimage ran well and that the UT’s administration and citizens were ready to greet the Yatris.
