An Air India flight travelling from Delhi to Bengaluru experienced a tail-strike incident while landing at Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday. According to reports by India Today and other media outlets, the aircraft made contact with the runway during touchdown, prompting authorities to ground the plane for further inspection.
Reports stated that the flight landed safely and all passengers and crew members disembarked normally after the incident. The aircraft involved was an Airbus narrow-body plane operating on the Delhi-Bengaluru route.
According to media reports, aviation authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the tail strike. Some reports suggested that wake turbulence may have played a role during the aircraft’s approach before landing.
The aircraft has reportedly been withdrawn from operations temporarily for technical checks and assessment of possible damage. Air India and airport authorities are yet to release detailed findings regarding the incident.
