Gujarat has made a remarkable mark this year, with three candidates securing positions in the all-India top 30. Notably, two women candidates from the state have made it to the top 5 ranks—Harshita Goyal secured Rank 2, while Margi Shah earned Rank 4. Additionally, Smit Panchal from Gujarat has secured an impressive 30th rank.
The Civil Services Examination serves as a gateway to prestigious roles in services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service, Indian Trade Service, and various other Group A and B central services. The 2024 recruitment drive aims to fill 1,132 vacancies. The interview (personality test) round was conducted from January 7 to April 17, 2025.
The selection process is conducted in three rigorous stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). Candidates must qualify at each stage to advance to the next. The final merit list is compiled by evaluating the cumulative performance in the Mains and Interview stages.
