Rajkot Youth Stabbed To Death By Three Over Illicit Affair Suspicion, Police Arrest Two

Rajkot: A 20-year-old man was brutally murdered on Monday night in Rajkot’s Bapunagar area in what police suspect was a fallout of a personal dispute over an alleged romantic relationship. The deceased, Jeeshan Kasvani, was attacked in the slum quarters around 9 PM and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being rushed to the hospital.
According to officials, Jeeshan was confronted by three men, identified as Aman Mehbub Chauhan, Afzal Sikandar Juneja, and an unidentified third person. The group engaged in a heated argument, which quickly escalated into violence. Witnesses say Jeeshan was first assaulted and then stabbed in the abdomen. His cries for help drew the attention of nearby residents, but the attackers fled before anyone could intervene.
Jeeshan, who worked at a food cart on Bapunagar Main Road, was taken to a government hospital but was declared dead during treatment. His sudden death has left his family devastated. Police launched an immediate investigation. Teams from Bhaktinagar Police Station, Local Crime Branch (LCB) Zone-1, and the Crime Branch reached the scene soon after the incident. Within hours, two of the suspects were arrested. Search operations are ongoing to track down the third accused.
Preliminary investigation points to a personal motive. Sources within the police revealed that Aman Chauhan, one of the arrested men, had recently married. He allegedly suspected that Jeeshan was having an affair with his wife. This suspicion, authorities believe, may have led to the fatal confrontation.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and statements from witnesses and family members are being recorded. The police are also examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to trace the movement of the accused before and after the attack.
