Hotel Owner Stabbed To Death Over Petty Dispute In Bhachau Taluka

Kutch: A shocking incident has emerged from Bhachau Taluka in Kutch, where the owner of a local eatery Hotel National, located along the highway near Morgar village, was brutally stabbed to death following a petty argument. The incident, which has stirred public outrage, is reportedly linked to a month-old dispute over a small sum of money for pan masala.
As per the police sources, the victim, Umarbhai Rayma, intervened in a violent confrontation at his hotel and was attacked with a sharp knife, suffering fatal wounds to his chest and head. The attack is believed to have been premeditated revenge stemming from a previous quarrel.
According to a complaint filed by Mahebub Ramjhubhai Rayma, a resident of Muslimvas in Morgar, the incident took place on the night of May 23. He stated that the pan stall operator at the Hotel National had called to inform him that three youths were creating a disturbance and demanding Sikandar, the son of the hotel owner, to come to the spot.
When Sikandar arrived at the hotel, he was attacked by the three men: Narendrapuri Bhikhapuri Gosai from the Sundarpuri area of Gandhidham, Kalpeshpuri Vishanpuri Goswami from Hamirpur in Rapar, and an unidentified accomplice. The assailants allegedly held a grudge over a previous verbal altercation.
When Umarbhai Rayma, the hotel owner and Sikandar’s father, tried to intervene, Kalpeshpuri stabbed him multiple times in the chest and head with a sharp weapon, leading to his death. The attackers then fled the scene.
The attackers were regular visitors to the hotel for meals. The motive behind the murder appears to be revenge for the earlier dispute involving Sikandar. Dudhai Police Inspector R.R. Vasava stated that one of the main accused, Narendrapuri, has been arrested, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other two individuals involved.
