Gujarat Releases Final Electoral Roll 2026: Over 4.40 Crore Voters Registered — Here’s How To Check Your Name

Ahmedabad: Gujarat’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive of the electoral rolls, conducted under the directives of the Election Commission of India, has been successfully concluded. The process, which was launched on October 27, 2025, culminated today February 17, 2026 with the official publication of the state’s final voter list. Chief Electoral Officer Harit Shukla, speaking on the occasion, said that the campaign was carried out in mission mode across the state to ensure its success.

Total Registered Voters

According to the final electoral roll, Gujarat now has a total of 4,40,30,725 registered voters. Since the publication of the draft voter list, approximately 5.60 lakh new voters have been added to arrive at this final figure. The exercise was overseen by 34 District Election Officers, 182 Electoral Registration Officers, and 50,963 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who played an active role throughout the process.

Digitisation and Door-to-Door Survey

In a bid to bring greater transparency to the exercise, the election machinery ensured complete digitisation of all enumeration forms. BLOs conducted house-to-house surveys to identify and remove the names of deceased voters, permanently relocated citizens, and individuals enrolled at more than one location. Following meetings with booth-level agents of political parties, a list of voters whose forms had not been returned was also published on the CEO’s official website in the interest of transparency.

Voters can verify their registration through the following channels:

• Mobile App: ECINET App
  
• In Person: At the office of the BLO, District Election Officer, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO)

Registration Window Still Open

Young citizens who turned 18 on or before January 1, 2026, and whose names do not yet appear in the voter list can still apply for enrolment using the relevant forms:

• Form No. 6 — For new voter registration
• Form No. 7 — For deletion of name or filing an objection
• Form No. 8 — For correction of existing details
