Gujarat Cabinet Reshuffle: Harsh Sanghavi Named Deputy CM, Rivaba Jadeja Joins as Minister of State – Check Full List

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday announced a major cabinet reshuffle, inducting 19 new ministers and retaining six from his previous team. The reshuffle marks a significant political move ahead of the 2027 assembly elections and upcoming local body polls.

Harsh Sanghavi, one of the key faces of the ruling BJP in the state, has been elevated as Deputy Chief Minister and assigned the prominent Home Ministry portfolio. Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba Jadeja, has also joined the council of ministers as the Minister of State, holding charge of Primary, Secondary, and Adult Education.

With this expansion, the Gujarat cabinet now includes 26 members, including the Chief Minister, up from the earlier 17. The state constitution allows a maximum of 27 ministers, or 15% of the total strength of the 182-member Assembly.

Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers and those given independent or elevated roles.
