Major Administrative Reshuffle in Gujarat: 144 Junior Scale Class-1 Deputy Collectors Transferred With Immediate Effect

Ahmedabad: In a significant change to the state’s administrative structure, 144 officers serving in the Gujarat Administrative Service (Junior Scale) Class-1 cadre have been transferred with immediate effect. According to a notification issued by the Revenue Department, all these officers have been transferred in public interest and appointed to new posts. The wide-ranging reshuffle includes senior officials across the state at the level of Deputy Collector, Prant Officer, Deputy District Development Officer, and District Supply Officer.

According to the official list, a total of 144 officers have been allocated new postings. Additionally, the same notification includes orders cancelling some earlier transfer orders and partially amending certain promotion orders.

For instance, the earlier transfer order concerning Amitkumar G. Gamit, which was part of the department’s previous notification, has been cancelled with retrospective effect, and he will continue in his existing post as Assistant Director at the Sports Authority of Gujarat, Gandhinagar.

All these orders have been issued by order of, and in the name of, the Governor of Gujarat, through Joint Secretary Sachin Patwardhan of the state government.
