Grand ‘Tiranga Padyatra’: 30,000+ Join Massive Rally in Ahmedabad Led by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel

Ahmedabad: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a grand ‘Tiranga Padyatra’ (Tricolour Walk) was held in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, paying tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Thousands of residents joined the march, turning the city streets into a celebration of patriotism.

The padyatra began from Adarsh School in Kubernagar and concluded at Rameshwar Circle in Meghaninagar. The route, adorned with the tricolour, created a festive and patriotic atmosphere across the city.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Bhupendra Patel said, “The tricolour is a symbol of pride and honour for every Indian. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ is organised to inspire respect for our national flag. This campaign has become a source of motivation for all, uniting people across the nation.”

The padyatra followed a specific route starting from Adarsh School, passing through Shiv Narayan Society, Shivajinagar, Amarajinagar lanes 04, 05 & 03, Vidyanagar, Savadhan Nagar, Ravi Row Houses, Rabari Vas, and Arvindnagar before ending at Rameshwar Circle.

Adding to the grandeur, students and teachers from the Ahmedabad School Board carried a 2,151-foot-long tricolour. Along the route, cultural groups from different states, school students, and youths in traditional attire performed colourful and patriotic presentations, warmly welcoming the participants.

Patriotic songs such as ‘Meri Shaan Tiranga,’ ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh,’ ‘Vande Mataram,’ ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha,’ and ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’ were played on DJ systems, filling the streets with the spirit of nationalism.

The event saw participation from police platoons, SRP personnel, police bands, fire service teams, students from various schools, sportspersons, community leaders, and an estimated 30,000 citizens. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation also showcased four thematic tableaux ‘Swachh Sheher Ahmedabad’ (Clean City Ahmedabad), ‘Operation Sindoor,’ ‘Gau Ganesh,’ and ‘Mission 4 Million Tree’.

Notably, in the 79th year of India’s independence, the national flag remains a symbol of unity and resolve toward nation-building. As part of the state government’s Independence Day celebrations, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Tiranga Yatra’ initiatives are being organised from August 2 to August 15 to instil pride and respect for the tricolour among the people.
