Gondal Youth’s Death Under Scrutiny: Accident or Foul Play? Father Alleges Murder

Gondal: The death of a young man from Gondal, Rajkumar Jat, is shrouded in mystery, with his father alleging murder following the discovery of numerous injuries on his body. Police are currently investigating the case as a vehicle accident that reportedly occurred near Rajkot.

Rajkumar Jat, a resident of Gayatri Nagar in Gondal, had been missing for ten days after an alleged argument with the son of a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Police claim he died in a road accident near Rajkot.

However, the investigation has so far yielded no concrete evidence to support this theory. Authorities have been unable to locate the vehicle involved in the supposed accident, and no other evidence has surfaced, leading to doubts about the police’s findings. On Thursday, a significant development emerged: a postmortem examination revealed 42 minor and major injuries on Rajkumar Jat’s body. While police have speculated these injuries could be from an accident, the exact cause remains undisclosed.

According to police, the injuries were primarily found on the deceased’s stomach and back. Doctors have stated that the cause of death was a head injury, specifically a brain hemorrhage. Police also reported that Rajkumar Jat was alive when emergency services arrived but died shortly after reaching the Civil Hospital. An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Baria noted the difficulty in identifying the vehicle involved due to the absence of CCTV cameras at the accident location.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s father, Ratanlal Jat, has publicly accused former Gondal MLA Jayrajsinh Jadeja and his son Ganesh of involvement in his son’s murder.

Ratanlal Jat has dismissed the police’s accident theory, claiming that CCTV footage released by the authorities has been manipulated. He also alleged that when he informed the local Police Inspector (PI) Gosai about the incident and mentioned Jayrajsinh’s name, the officer did not provide a satisfactory response. The circumstances surrounding Rajkumar Jat’s death continue to raise questions, with the family demanding a thorough and impartial investigation.
