In the brutal terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam on Tuesday (April 22), 26 Indian citizens, including 3 Gujaratis lost their lives. In which, a man was from Surat and a father-son duo was from Bhavnagar. Meanwhile, 17 other people, who survived the attack, returned to Bhavnagar.
Out of this entire group of people, 6 people had earlier reached Mumbai from Srinagar, and then to Bhavnagar. On the other hand, the remaining 11 people returned to Bhavnagar on Thursday night with police security.
Apparently, a group of 20 people had gone to Pahalgam from Bhavnagar. The people who survived the attack said that they were relaxing and clicking pictures when suddenly gunshots started firing. Initially, they thought that the attackers, equipped with weapons, were soldiers from the army. However, in some time, they realised that they were being attacked by terrorists.
In the attack, Vinubhai Tribhuvanbhai Dabhi, hailing from Bhavnagar, suffered an injury as he was shot in the elbow. He was rushed to the Anantnag Government Medical College for treatment.
