Ahmedabad Rain Wreaks Havoc: Cars Partially Submerged on SG Highway Service Road Near Thaltej

Ahmedabad: Incessant rain since the early hours of Sunday has thrown normal life out of gear in Ahmedabad, with multiple areas across the city reporting severe waterlogging. Among the worst hit was the service road along SG Highway near Thaltej, where heavy downpour left the stretch badly flooded.

Commuters Wade Through Flooded Streets

Inadequate drainage caused rainwater to pile up on the Thaltej service road, making life difficult for those trying to get around. In several stretches, the water rose high enough to swallow the tyres of moving cars, leaving drivers with little choice but to inch forward carefully. For many heading out to work or elsewhere during the morning rush, the flooded road turned an ordinary commute into a slow, frustrating ordeal.
