
Ahmedabad: Over the last 24 hours, many parts of Saurashtra–Kutch witnessed intense rainfall activity, with heavy rain at a few locations in Amreli and isolated spots in Bhavnagar. Most areas in South Gujarat and Saurashtra received rain, while North Gujarat recorded showers at scattered places. Kutch largely remained dry.
Night temperatures saw no major change: they stayed much above normal in North Gujarat, significantly above normal in parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra–Kutch, and near normal elsewhere. Bhuj and Naliya recorded a maximum of 32°C, and Naliya’s minimum settled at 21°C.

Light to Moderate Rain Likely
According to the weather office, the rainy spell is expected to continue across the state. Light to moderate rain is likely at many places in all districts of North Gujarat, South Gujarat, and Saurashtra, as well as in Kutch. Showers are also possible at several locations in Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Diu. In Saurashtra, the districts of Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu may see rain at many places.
Where Heavier Rain is Possible
A heavy rain alert has been issued for a few pockets in Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, and Surat, and for Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu in Saurashtra–Kutch. Thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds of 30–40 kmph, and light to moderate rain are also likely across all districts of North and South Gujarat and the entirety of Saurashtra–Kutch. People are advised to stay cautious and follow safety measures given the changing weather.
