Mehsana : Unprecedented case has rocked Visnagar city in Mehsana district, shaking the entire community to its core. In a brutal assault that has left the city in shock, a 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and taken to multiple locations by six individuals, where she was gang-raped in succession. The police registered cases against all six accused.
The minor had gone out for a walk when two men, identified as Vijay Thakor and Pawan Thakor, took her to an isolated area on Sevaliya Road and raped her. During the assault, two others, Raj Thakor and another unidentified man, also joined them. Later that night, while the survivor was on her way home near Tower Chowk, another accused, Soham Thakor, offered her a lift on his Activa scooter and took her to Pawan Thakor’s office. There, both Pawan and Raj Thakor assaulted her again.
Soham dropped the girl near Adarsh School. As she was walking home, Prakash Modi and an unidentified associate approached her, offering to drop her at home. Instead, Modi allegedly took her to his residence, where she was confined until Monday and repeatedly raped. The girl’s family searched for her after she went missing. When she returned home on Monday, her family and police questioned her calmly. The next night, she revealed the entire ordeal, leaving her family and local residents in shock and anger.

Based on the survivor’s detailed statement, Visnagar police have registered a case against six men—Vijay Thakor, Pawan Thakor, Raj Thakor, Soham Thakor, Prakash Modi, and one unidentified accused—under sections of kidnapping, rape, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
