Epic Clash Averted: Yash’s Toxic vs. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2

Mumbai:Producers of the upcoming action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have delayed its worldwide premiere to June 4, 2026, moving it from the original March 19 slot. The decision stems from the volatile situation in the Middle East, which the team says hinders the film’s ability to connect with international viewers.
Actor Yash, the film’s lead, posted an update on X to confirm the change, sharing a poster and a detailed statement. “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups – in Cinemas Worldwide on 4 June 2026,” he captioned the image.

The official message elaborated on the project’s global aspirations: “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a film we conceptualised with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March.”
It continued, addressing the postponement: “However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.”
The producers expressed gratitude for supporters’ patience: “We thank you for your understanding and patience and look forward to your continued love and support. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and Indian languages on 4th June 2026. See you in the movies.”
This shift eliminates a potential high-stakes clash with Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar 2,’ starring Ranveer Singh, leaving the latter as the only big release on March 19.
Backed by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the movie is helmed by director Geetu Mohandas. It boasts a powerhouse cast featuring Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth opposite Yash. Shot originally in Kannada and English, it will hit screens in dubbed Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions.
Fans had buzzed about the March face-off, but now ‘Dhurandhar 2’ claims the date unchallenged. Earlier, the team dropped the first track, “Tabaahi,” spotlighting Yash and Kiara Advani with an unexpected edge.
