In a major boost for pan-India cinema enthusiasts, the makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have officially locked 26 August 2026 as the worldwide theatrical release date. The announcement, backed by a striking new poster unveiling Rocking Star Yash in dual avatars Raya and Ticket has sent fans into a frenzy across social media.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, this high-octane gangster drama marks Yash’s much-awaited return following the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. With a reported budget of ₹800-850 crore, Toxic is among the most ambitious and expensive Indian films to date. Primarily shot in Kannada and English, it will be dubbed into several languages for a global rollout. The stellar ensemble cast features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.
The road to this date has been turbulent. Originally eyed for April 2025, the release was shifted to 19 March 2026, then 4 June 2026, before settling on the August slot.
