Mumbai: Nani’s The Paradise is finding the going a little tougher as it moves into its second week at the box office. The film earned around rs 3.30 crore in India on Day 8, taking its total domestic net collection to an estimated rs 108.20 crore, as per industry tracking figures.
Globally, however, the film has crossed another important mark. The Paradise has reportedly collected around rs 158.60 crore worldwide after eight days. Its India gross stands at approximately rs 127.75 crore, while the overseas market has contributed nearly rs 30.85 crore.
The Day 8 numbers also continue the film’s recent downward trend. After a fairly strong opening stretch, collections have been slipping steadily. The film made rs 5 crore on Day 5, followed by rs 4.40 crore on Day 6 and rs 3.40 crore on Day 7. The latest rs 3.30 crore figure shows that the decline has continued, although the film remains above the rs 100 crore mark in India.
The Paradise opened in theatres on September 24, 2026. Including premiere shows, the film began its box office journey with rs 11.60 crore before recording rs 34.65 crore on its opening day. It then collected rs 14.90 crore on Day 2, rs 15.25 crore on Day 3 and rs 15.70 crore on Day 4.
The Telugu version remains the film’s biggest contributor in India. On Day 8, it accounted for around rs 2.67 crore, while the Hindi version brought in approximately rs 60 lakh. The Tamil version added around rs 3 lakh.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is set in 1980s Secunderabad and features Nani as Jadal, a man who rises as a leader while fighting against discrimination and social injustice. The film also stars Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal.
The movie has received mixed reactions from audiences, something Nani himself has addressed. The actor said he expected strong reactions to the film but admitted that the extent of the contrasting responses surprised him.
With its worldwide tally now sitting close to rs 160 crore, the focus will be on whether The Paradise can find some stability over its second weekend or continue its recent downward run.
