Karisma Kapoor Has No Involvement In Ex-Husband Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30,000 Crore Estate

Following the sudden death of businessman Sunjay Kapur, speculation has swirled around the fate of his $3.6 billion estate, particularly regarding any involvement of his ex-wife, Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor. Sources close to the Kapur family,have clarified that Karisma has no role in the ongoing property disputes surrounding her former husband’s assets. The sources emphasized that Kapoor is not seeking any share of the estate and is focused solely on the well-being of her two children, Samaira and Kiaan, who are the rightful heirs to their father’s wealth.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur were married in 2003 but parted ways in 2014, finalizing their divorce in 2016 through mutual consent. During their marriage, they welcomed daughter Samaira and son Kiaan. In 2016, Kapoor filed a domestic violence case against Kapur and his mother, Rani Kapur. Sunjay Kapur, chairman of the Sona Comstar Group, passed away on June 12, 2025, after suffering a cardiac arrest during a polo match. His estate, valued at over Rs 30,000 crore, has become the center of contention, with Kapur’s mother, Rani, publicly asserting her position as the majority stakeholder in the Sona Group and the primary heir to the estate.
