Renowned playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has postponed her highly anticipated Kolkata concert, originally scheduled for March 14, 2026, as part of her ongoing ‘I0 Am Home India Tour 2025-26.’ The decision comes in the wake of a severe throat infection that has impacted her voice, following an emotional incident during her recent Lucknow performance.
Few days ago, Sunidhi broke down on stage at the Lucknow show held at Coolbreeze Resorts. Struggling with a “terrible throat,” she paused mid-performance to apologize to fans, admitting her voice was severely affected. “Aaj mera aawaz bohot zyada kharab hai (Today my voice is very bad),” she said emotionally, adding, “This has never happened with me ever, and it’s embarrassing. I always want to give 100%.” Despite the issue, she pushed through with support from the understanding audience, highlighting her dedication to her fans.
The Kolkata concert, set to be the grand finale of the tour at Aquatica Ground, has now been rescheduled to March 25, 2026, following medical advice to prioritize her recovery and rest. Organizers confirmed the postponement, emphasizing that the move is to ensure Sunidhi can deliver her signature high-energy performance without compromise.
In statements shared through event handlers and social media, the singer described the postponement as one of the “most difficult decisions” she’s had to make. Fans have rallied in support, with many expressing relief that she’s taking time to heal rather than risking further strain.
Known for her powerhouse vocals in hits like ‘Kaisi Paheli Zindagani’ and ‘Dhoom Machale’, Sunidhi has been redefining live music experiences across India with this tour. Tickets for the original date remain valid for the new one, with refund options available until March 19 for those unable to attend.
As Kolkata awaits her return, fans are sending healing wishes, eager for the electrifying show once she’s back in top form. Sunidhi’s health comes first—proving her commitment to both her art and her well-being.
