‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Poster Released,Ten New Actors To Debut In Aamir Khan’s Next
Film Slated To Release In Cinemas On June 20
Fans are delighted as the poster of Aamir Khan’s next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par was unveiled recently. The movie will hit the big screen on June 20. It is said to be the spiritual sequel of the 2007 hit film, Taare Zameen Par. The poster was revealed on the Instagram and X accounts of the Aamir Khan Productions. In the poster, Aamir can be seen giving a serious look. He is surrounded by 10 kids. While the first part had art as a crucial theme, this part will have the sport of basketball as a significant part of the story. This is evident by the basketball shown with Aamir in the poster.
Taare Zameen Par marked the debut of Darsheel Safary. On the other hand, 10 new actors will be making their debut with Sitaare Zameen Par. The ensemble of debutant actors includes Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. In addition, Genelia Deshmukh is also a part of the cast, starring opposite Aamir Khan.
While giving information about the movie, Aamir said that it will be ten steps ahead, thematically. It is about people who are differently-abled. It is about love, friendship, and life. Taare Zameen Par made everyone cry but this film will make everyone laugh. It is a comedy but the theme is the same. Describing his character, Aamir said that in Taare Zameen Par, his character of Nikumbh was one of a sensitive person. His character in Sitaare Zameen Par, named Gulshan, is completely opposite. He is rude, politically incorrect, and he insults everybody. He fights with his wife and mother. He is a basketball coach and beats up his senior coach. He is a person with a lot of internal problems, he added.
He said that the story is about how his character changes, how the ten people who have different disabilities like down syndrome, autism, etc. teach him what it is to be a good human being. He further said that it was originally a Spanish film and they have made an Indian version of that. As such, Sitaare Zameen Par is adapted from the Spanish film Campeones, directed by Javier Fresser.
Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna, and presented by Aamir Khan Productions. The tagline of the film is “Sabka apna apna normal”, as seen in the poster. Fans await the trailer of the film eagerly. The trailer release was postponed as a sign of respect for the Pahalgam terror attack victims. The film will release on June 20, after being delayed a few times.
