Arvind Vekaria, a known name in the Gujarati film and theatre industry, passed away at the age of 77 in Mumbai. He was affectionately called ‘Dadu’ by those around him. Along with his appearances in movies and tv shows, Arvind Vekaria was also known for major roles in the Gujarati theatre industry.
The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) expressed sorrow on the passing of the well-known actor and theater personality in a statement posted on social media.
Respected in Gujarati theater and film, Arvind Vekaria was well-known for his roles as a director and performer. He became well-known in Gujarati entertainment over time and appeared in movies and television series. Actor Tanmay Vekaria, best known for his role as Bagha in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is his son.
In addition to his roles in television shows like Shaktimaan, he was known for his work in Gujarati films like Yashoda, Rupiyo Nach Nachave, and Chhanu Chamaklo.
