Salman Khan Opens Up About Serious Health Challenges on The Great Indian Kapil Show

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a striking appearance as the inaugural guest on the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. During a candid conversation with host Kapil Sharma, the 59-year-old actor revealed he is grappling with multiple serious health conditions but remains steadfast in his commitment to his career.

The discussion took a serious turn when Kapil Sharma raised the topic of marriage. Khan reflected on the emotional and financial tolls of marriage and divorce, noting that rebuilding his wealth at this stage of life would be daunting. He disclosed enduring significant health challenges, stating, “I’m out here breaking my bones every day ribs are fractured, I’m working despite having trigeminal neuralgia, there’s an aneurysm in the brain, yet I’m still working. There’s also an AV malformation, and still, I’m carrying on.”

Khan elaborated on his conditions, mentioning trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic nerve disorder known as the “suicide disease” due to its intense, electric shock-like facial pain. He first spoke about this condition in 2017 while promoting his film Tubelight in Dubai. Additionally, he revealed suffering from a brain aneurysm, a potentially life-threatening bulge in a brain blood vessel, and an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a rare tangle of abnormal blood vessels that can lead to seizures or bleeding if untreated.

Despite these health setbacks, Khan emphasized his resilience, continuing to work on demanding film projects. His recent film, Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and others, did not meet box office expectations, yet Khan remains undeterred. He is set to star in the upcoming Saudi Arabian-Egyptian film 7 Dogs alongside Sanjay Dutt.
