Salman Khan’s Father Salim Khan Hospitalised In Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital

Mumbai : Veteran Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, known for co-writing several of Hindi cinema’s most memorable films, has been hospitalized in Mumbai and is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Lilavati Hospital. The 90-year-old writer was admitted on Tuesday morning, and the exact reason for his hospitalisation has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Salim Khan’s eldest son, superstar Salman Khan, visited him at the hospital and was seen leaving the premises later in the day, as per the reports. Other family members, including his daughter Alvira Khan Agnihotri and son-in-law Atul Agnihotri, were also reported to have visited him in the hospital.

Khan gained prominence as one half of the legendary duo Salim-Javed, along with Javed Akhtar. Together, they crafted iconic screenplays that helped define Hindi cinema in the 1970s and 1980s. Their work includes blockbusters such as Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, Don and Trishul, earning Khan a place among the most influential writers in Indian film history.
The 90-year-old celebrated his birthday in November 2025, and his hospitalisation has sparked concern among fans and the film fraternity. Social media has been flooded with well wishes and prayers for his speedy recovery, even as the Khan family has not released an official statement on his health status or the cause of his admission.
While updates on his condition are still awaited, supporters and admirers have expressed solidarity with the screenwriting legend, underscoring his significant legacy in the Hindi film industry.
