“Raja Shivaji” : Movie Enters Rs100 Crore Club, Continues Strong Run At Box Office

Mumbai : Riteish Deshmukh’s historical drama Raja Shivaji has officially crossed the rs100 crore mark at the box office on Day 17 of its release. The film has been enjoying a steady run in theatres and continues to attract audiences, especially across Maharashtra.

As per the latest trade figures, the movie, earned around rs3.45 crore on its 17th day, taking its total gross collection in India to nearly rs100.07 crore. The film’s net collection currently stands above rs84 crore.

Released on May 1, Raja Shivaji tells the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and has connected strongly with viewers because of its emotional storytelling, large scale visuals and powerful performances. Apart from marathi audiences, the film has also performed well in Hindi markets due to its bilingual release.

The success of the film marks a major achievement for Riteish Deshmukh, who not only plays the lead role but also directs the project. Industry experts believe the movie still has momentum left and could continue its successful theatrical run in coming weeks.

The film also features Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan in important roles, adding to its strong box office appeal.
