Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur found herself at the center of light-hearted banter during a recent promotional event for her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, where co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi cheekily alluded to her rumored ties to Chennai—prompting visible embarrassment on her part and reigniting speculation about her link with Tamil star Dhanush.
The moment unfolded while Mrunal and Siddhant were engaging with the media to build excitement for their movie. A reporter casually noted that some questions had come up regarding Chennai. Siddhant seized the opportunity, pointing toward Mrunal and asking with a grin, “Was that Chennai question for her or for me?” Mrunal was quick to clarify that it was directed at him, but the exchange sparked laughter from Siddhant, the reporters, and others present. The teasing persisted, with reporters chiming in, “We understand,” as Mrunal struggled to contain her smiles and blushed noticeably.
This playful interaction arrives against the backdrop of persistent dating rumors involving Mrunal and Dhanush, who is based in Chennai. Speculation first surfaced in August last year when the pair was seen together at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2. The buzz intensified after Dhanush commented on the teaser for Do Deewane Seher Mein, writing, “Looks and sounds good.” Mrunal replied with heart and sunflower emojis.
More recently, reports circulated claiming the two were planning to marry on Valentine’s Day. However, a source close to the situation told HT City that the wedding rumors are unfounded. “Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is just a rumour that has gained traction,” the source said. They highlighted that Do Deewane Seher Mein is set for a theatrical release on February 20—close to the rumored date—making such plans improbable. The source added that Mrunal also has a Telugu film lined up in March, further underscoring her busy professional schedule.

The promotional trail has showcased the easy camaraderie between Mrunal and Siddhant, even as off-screen rumors continue to swirl.
