Orry Hits Back at Dhruv Rathee Over Criticism of Janhvi Kapoor’s Looks: Labels Him ‘Anti-Nationalist”

Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has fiercely defended his friend Janhvi Kapoor against YouTuber Dhruv Rathee’s recent video accusing several Bollywood stars of undergoing cosmetic procedures.
In the video titled The FAKE Beauty of Bollywood Celebrities, posted on December 25, Rathee highlighted actors including Janhvi Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Shruti Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty, Kajol, and Priyanka Chopra, suggesting they had opted for plastic surgery, Botox, fillers, or skin-lightening treatments. Notably, he featured Janhvi Kapoor’s alleged before-and-after images as the thumbnail, which quickly ignited discussions across social media platforms.
Orry responded after encountering an Instagram reel that pointed out the timing of Rathee’s video—released shortly after Janhvi shared an Instagram Story denouncing the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh as “barbaric.” In his comments on the reel, Orry stated that Janhvi “probably doesn’t even know who he is.” He further escalated his criticism, describing Rathee as an “anti-nationalist” who creates such content for attention. In another remark, Orry added, “I myself only know him as that anti nationalist who complains about not getting papped at train station despite having followers.”

The backlash against Rathee extends beyond Janhvi’s case. Fans of Deepika Padukone have also rallied in her defense following his claims about her undergoing skin-lightening treatments.
This incident follows recent controversy surrounding Rathee’s critique of the upcoming film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. In a separate video titled Reality of Dhurandhar, he accused the movie of promoting propaganda through engaging storytelling, drawing significant criticism from viewers.
